Creative Arts & Creative Communities: Wilding Hearts & Healing

Wildling Hearts & Healing has led us on adventures, exploring the collections of the Museum of English Rural Life to unravel stories held within the Museum. Working collaboratively with Museum staff, we have been afforded the space to work with curators, poets, storytellers & dreamers and felt the power of how the arts & heritage can offer us sanctuary and nurture our wellbeing.

MERL has been a catalyst for seeking out the stories that surround us, but most importantly the stories within each and every one of our Wildling Hearts.

MERL kindly explored the use of agriculture in the community and the beautiful surroundings within the Museum of English Rural Life to help create a haven of recovery and creativity connecting through our art work and design.

Some quotes from out participants about our Creative Arts workshop:

‘Wonderful, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Great to be inspired by the MERL collection producing such diverse work.’

‘It was gorgeous, warm, accepting, calming and so therapeutic.’

‘This has been a peaceful haven in a chaotic world! Really valuable.’
