Could you Volunteer with Compass?

We have lots of volunteering opportunities at the moment for those looking to engage in their community, learn some new skills and potentially get on a path back to employment.

Our volunteers take on all kinds of exciting responsibilities. From staffing our popular tea kiosk at Caversham Court Gardens, and supporting events like our Coffee and Chat meets to assisting with vital admin in the office and facilitating our educational sessions.

We will provide you will as little or as much training as you need, empowering you to fulfill your responsibilities and giving you the satisfaction and reward from being involved in something positive.

We really value your lived experience of mental health challenges, and take on board your feedback in how we can help you live your life well, engaging with people and learning as you go.

You don't have to commit to set times, but we do expect you to keep us in the loop in reasonable time if you cant attend for any reason. On the whole, we are very flexible and can accommodate most needs.

If you are interested or would like more information, please drop us an email to compass.opportunities@reading.gov.uk or call us on 0118-937-3945 for a chat.
